Creative Collaborations: Teachers and Artists in the Classroom, Pre-K through Grade 12
Published by the California Alliance for Arts Education and the San Bernardino City Unified School District, this new publication provides a framework for effective collaboration between artists and teachers, for the benefit of their students. The focus is on the student, the teacher and the artist and what each brings to the learning environment in terms of expertise, responsibility and commitment. This book is an invitation to teachers and artists to work in a new way. Through collaboration, mutual teaching and learning, teachers and artists may uncover a rich opportunity to develop a discussion between two people who have a shared agenda, the development of children, but who typically work within different frameworks. Creative Collaborations can be purchased from the California Alliance for Arts Education for $15 (includes tax and shipping). Make checks payable to "CAAE" and write "Creative Collaborations" on your check.
